Welcome to Spin Artiste!

My name is Arlene Ciroula and I am the Publisher of Spin Artiste — an online publication focused on the making and using artisanal fibers and yarns, especially what I’ve come to call “Expressive Yarns”.

I am also a handspinner and knitter and this publication came from my deep admiration of the work of the many artisans I have encountered along my own learning journey. I wanted a place where these arts could be featured, where the artists could be profiled…and yes, where we could address the question, “what do you do with it?” I hope you enjoy the publication as much as I enjoy putting it together!
