Our dear friend Streetcolor Art has been given the unique and awesome opportunity to yarn bomb the The Oakland Museum of California inside and out. The installation is scheduled for mid – October. In addition, Street is planning a yarn bombing gallery using the streets of the city as the installation space. This is a tremendous undertaking and while Street can produce some large amounts of pieces in a short time, in this case, Street is accepting contributions from other fiber artists. Each fiber artist who contributes will be able to sign their piece. You can read about the details on Street’s blog here.
I’m planning on contributing a piece and in fact, to make this go a little faster, I bought this pair of Size 50 needles today at Lexi Boeger’s Yarnival from Lizette at Spinglitz
I hope you will join me in the fun!
Have a happy Labor Day, Arlene
