Leather and Lace Challenge Collection

Leather and Lace Kit for Rose Nectar Fibre Couture

Co-sponsored by Spin Artiste and Picasso’s Moon Yarn Shop, the Leather and Lace Collection represents an all star line up of fiber artists invited to produce a yarn in their own style from naturally colored fibers, leather and lace.

The collection is travelling down the east coast of the United States from October 2012 till April 2013.  Seven locations are hosting the collection.  After the collection arrives in Sarasota, Florida for the SWAY guild Art Yarn Festival, the collection will be sold and the proceeds donated to The Farm Animal Sanctuary.

Enjoy looking at the yarns here online and by all means, if possible, go see them in person!

But wait, there’s more…there’s a book in the works featuring the collection! Yes, we are working on a book that will not only contain photos of the yarns but also we will hear from the artists regarding their design process and the item they chose to add to their materials kit. We will keep you updated as details become available.
